Together As One!
Together As One!
Our mission is to provide underprivileged children with the gift of music by utilizing donated instruments not in use by members of the local community.
Dane Trimble, a Junior at Jackson County High School, created Sound of Giving in January 2024 as a charitable pathway to assist underprivileged students wanting to participate in musical programs throughout the Jackson County School District.
Dane was influenced to assist less fortunate students obtain access to musical instruments as a tribute to his late cousins, William and Alex Trimble. William and Alex, highly gifted musicians, were students at Jefferson High School when they both tragically passed away in late 2015. Sound of Giving was created to ensure ALL students interested in learning, participating, and showcasing their musical talent are able to do so even if their parents/guardians are unable to afford the expenses that come with owning an instrument. #TrimbleStrong
Sound of Giving plans to partner with local businesses for support as well as local music stores, should the donated instruments need cleaning and or repair(s). In return, these local businesses will receive free sponsorships and recognition from the Sound of Giving organization. As instruments become available within the inventory pool, parents can discreetly apply online on behalf of their children. If the instrument is available and the recipient is approved, the student will receive his or her instrument through their selective school music program administrator. Contributors to the crowdfund will also receive recognition through our advertising, events, website, and more.
